Evergreen Window Stands Tall

Hello friends.

I had done this card a while back and liked it so much that I decided to
use it for one of my Christmas card classes.

One of the gals had her card this way to cut and I liked the way it turned out.
So I CASEd her.  Sometimes we have those happy accidents!

I stamped the sentiment crooked. What a surprise!
So I stamped again on a snippet and put some Dazzling Details
around it to cover the boo boo.

I added some sparkle to the trees and sky while I was at it.

I'm going to take this over to
Thank you Mo for hosting this challenge each month!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Light Touch Split

Hi there.

The weekend is winding down.  For many here in the US it was a long weekend
full of food, family, friends and shopping.

I hope it's been a good weekend for you.  It has for me.
(I fit in all but the shopping.)

Another card using the Light Touch stamp.

This time I inked it up with Distress Markers.

By using the MISTI, I inked the red and stamped, repeated until I was
happy with the depth of color, then inked the stems and leaves.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey there.

Happy Thanksgiving
if you live in the US and are celebrating today.

I am thankful for all you wonderful blog readers whether you are celebrating
Thanksgiving today or not.

I've used another tissue paper leaf.

Here's a photo that shows more of the shine.

I used the same technique that I used for this card.

This technique was brought to us by Loll.  Her tutorial is featured at Splitcoaststampers this week.
If you're not a member at SCS, you can find the tutorial here on YouTube.

Since I used watercolor on my tissue paper leaf and
Thanksgiving is a holiday, I'll add this to the gallery at
Challenge ends at midnight PST, November 24th.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

More Tags

Hello friends.

These are the last of my tags for
Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

First up was a die cut piece with the sentiment all stamped and embossed.

I can't find the sentiment in my collection so I'm not sure where it came from.

The poinsettia was all assembled and miraculously intact.

I stamped and heat embossed a flourish for the flower to sit on,
adhered the die cut design piece to a silver foil die cut tag, and tied a ribbon on.

The second tag is my favorite of all my tags this year.

The image was all stamped and colored.  It was a stamp borrowed from a friend
who had bought the set at a yard sale.  I believe it was made by Stampin' Up!
but I have no idea of the name of the set.

I believe the image was colored with Stampin' Up! Markers.

I die cut the image into a tag, then used a Zig glue pen on the pears
and sprinkled some glitter over it.

I added a thin strip of gold glitter paper on the bottom to
hide the fact that the piece was too short for the pinpoints on the bottom.

In the light the glitter sparkles beautifully.  The camera doesn't want to show that.
Using stamping, marker coloring, heat embossing, die cutting and glitter.
This tag was backed with another die cut piece of whisper white for stability.

Now I need to start shopping to have something to put the tags on.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Mitten Tag

Hello, friends.

I'm almost late for the Tag You're It Challenge where my friend Hazel is
the Featured Artist and my friend Darnell is the Guest Designer.

Here's my tag

Here's Hazel's tag that inspired my tag.

I had this piece of mitten left over from last week's class and thought it would make a cute tag.

I die cut a snowflake from a piece of smooshed cardstock.

To smoosh, I dropped some re-inker and frost paint on a split cellophane bag,
closed it and smooshed, opened it back up, put some cardstock in and smooshed again.
I actually put 2 pieces of cardstock for a twofer.

The picture doesn't show it, but the snowflake has a nice frosty look.

I was inspired by the pink and sweet bow.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Another Glittered Leaf

Hello, dear friends.

I have some more glitter to share today.

Using stamping, heat embossing, dry embossing and glitter.

This time I used a brown skeleton leaf.  It had already been embossed with gold.

I added some glue around the edge and sprinkled gold glitter on it.

It's laying on a bed of embossed leaves that I cut at a wonky angle.

This was really quick if you don't count getting all the glitter up that has drifted
all over the house!

There's still a few days left to add some glitter at
CAS Mix Up

Do check out the gallery.  There are some sparkly beauties over there!

I'm also entering this over at

Snowflakes Tags

Hello, friends.

Another week has whooshed by!

Christmas will be here before we know it and we'll have presents
that need tags!

Here are two more tags that I have ready.

Friday was the twelfth day of
Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends

Fortunately we can join the challenge until the 24th.

Using stamping, heat embossing, Brushos and die cuts.

The rest of this piece was used on this card.  The back piece is Concord Crush.
It wanted to photograph in blue.

Using stamping, heat embossing, sponging and die cuts.

I found the design piece for this tag in the UFO box and die cut it.  I had a few little snowflakes
left over from last month's classes. It went together so quick.  Love it when that happens!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Tweet Christmas Wishes

Hi there.

I've still got some tags to share for
Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends

This one is one of my favorites

Using stamping, watercolor, die cuts, fussy cutting and marker coloring

A while back I took a whole sheet of  watercolor paper and randomly stamped
with this Penny Black leaf stamp using green ink.

Then I spritzed the whole piece and let the colors run.

The tweet wittle bird was colored with markers.

and a twofer

Using stamping, sponging, marker coloring, dry embossing
This tag won Honourable Mention

I found these snowmen waiting for their wardrobes to be colored.

I kind of like the horizontal placement for a tag.

Bird Amidst the Holly

Hello friends.

I'm back again with a mid-month reminder for
CAS Watercolour

I put a light wash of Antique Linen on a piece of mixed media for the base
and added some splatters with the same ink that sort of disappeared into the background.

The holly and bird were die cut from Mixed Media paper.

I watercolored the pieces with Distress Markers and an Aqua Painter and
used a bone folder to slightly shape the leaves.

After the holly boughs were adhered, I added the chickadee with dimensionals
and some Dazzling Details glitter on the leaves.

Here's the CAS Watercolour Challenge

Our Design Team and Guest Designer Ina have some wonderful inspiration for you.

And with that bit of glitter, it fits with the CAS Mix Up Challenge too.

There's some gorgeous cards in both of these galleries.  Lots of inspiration for Christmas cards!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Glitter, Glitter

Hello friends.

It's time for the mid-month reminder at CAS Mix Up.

You probably don't need it, but here's some more inspiration for you.
Using stamping, glitter, heat embossing and smooshing with Inka Gold

I adhered a piece of Sookwang sheet to some Neena cardstock and die cut it.

After pulling off the liner, I poured some fine green glitter over all that sticky
and rubbed it in with my finger.

It didn't cut all the way through, which I kind of liked better than the open tree.

And it sure is glittery!

I found a piece that I'd done by smooshing Inka Gold and water.

Lots of sparkle and shine on this card!

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in gold to stay with all the shine.

I hope you'll pull out some glitter and join us at
CAS Mix Up

Thankful for You

Hello.  I hope you had a great weekend!

Our leaves are turning to their bright, beautiful colors and falling fast.

Hopefully this leaf won't fall.

I wish I could have captured the gleam of the gold that borders the embossed sentiment.

The leaf was die cut from a snippet of watercolor paper and colored
with re-inkers and my Aqua Painter.

I used this leaf embossing folder that I had used at a friend's house.  I have
since found one and was excited to add it to my collection.

When the leaf was dry, I dry embossed it with another embossing folder.

Lots of texture and shine on this card!

Ornament Tags

Hello.

I'm sharing some more tags today.

I'm behind so I'm doubling up.

These are for Loll's Tag Event

Using stamping, coloring with markers, heat embossing, die cutting and fussy cutting.
This was done on a die cut stitched rectangle that had a sprig of holly stamped
and colored.  I believe the holly was colored by swiping markers on a
palette and picking up the color with a Blender Pen.

I went over the stems and some of the leaves with a Gold Gel Pen for a little
elegance.

The ornament was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, smacked in the VersaMark
and clear embossed so it is shiny like the vintage glass balls
that are among my favorite tree decorations.

I stamped the sentiment crooked (as usual) and had to do another a put it on top.

I'd gotten behind so here's another tag.
Using stamping, heat embossing, punches, die cuts, watercolor and dry embossing.

I found this ornament that had been punched from a piece of watercolor.
I'm thinking the coloring was done with Brushos...or maybe not.

I added a little silver joy to the center of the ornament and some twine
to hang it from.

The pine sprigs were stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed
and the sentiment was also heat embossed, this time with silver.

To add a bit more texture, I used my favorite embossing folder on the larger
background tag and tied it all up with some silver twine.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Rudolph for Merry Monday

Hi there.

I had some of these little owl punch Rudolphs in my UFO box.

The stenciled snowfall piece was in the box too and it just fit behind
this peek-a-boo window.

My friend Marcia is the hostess at Merry Monday this week.

and since there's glitter on the stenciled snow and Rudolph's nose,
I'll add this to the gallery at CAS Mix Up.
